Your personal possessions in you personal archive
When you create a Masterkeep.com account you can add valuable information about your possessions; both text and photos. You can also save manuals, warranties, receipts and other electronic documents. It is all stored within your personal archive. You are the only one with access to it. Your information and files are stored in a very secure environment and it is not possible for others to see what you have stored. It's therefore very important that you do not give others your username and password.
Your information is secured for ever and you always have access to your information and documents - at any time and any place. All you need is internet access.
Recommend - and get free membership!
Should you wish to recommend Masterkeep.com to your friends and family, you can do this. From your own Masterkeep.com account, you can send a message to all the people you know, inviting them to use Masterkeep.com. Click on "Recommend to a friend". Type in the email adresses of the people you wish to introduce to Masterkeep.com. You can also add a personal message, where you can can choose to explain a bit about the system and then send the message.
If your friend creates a Masterkeep.com account, your account will automatically be extended with 3 months for free. Get 4 friends to sign up and you will receive a whole year for free!
Get a reminder of a warranty expiration
As you probably know, stores give you a time-limited warranty. If something is wrong with your product within this timeframe, you should react. With Masterkeep.com you can request the system to provide you with a reminder before the warranty expires.
You will automatically receive an email reminding you about the warranty expiration, 1 month before the expiration date. If your product is fine you don't need to react, however, if it is faulty you should take the product to the place of purchase as soon as possible. This service is included in your account and is completly free.
You can import your items using Excel
If you already have your items typed into an Excel sheet, or prefer to type it into Excel, you can "import" your information into your account. This is done with the import-template that you can download from Masterkeep.com. The import-template is an Excel sheet, that you have to fill out with the information you wish to add to your account. You can find the template under "Import items".
It is important that you don't make changes to the template, as it could cause problems during the import process. Once you have filled in the template you can upload the Excel file and all the information will automatically be added to your personal archive.
Print or email a list with your possessions
You can quickly and easily print an overview with your possessions, or you can choose to send it by email. It can be helpful in connection with a break-in, where your insurance company requires information about the lost items. Maybe if you wish to sell an item, you could print or send information about this item directly from your account.
If you just wish to print a list to keep in your drawer or under the matress, you can also do that. The possibilities are countless. You can sort your overview by name, model, value and so on.
Report lost or stolen
If you have lost an item, you can choose to mark the selected item and place information about it into our public accessible database with lost or stolen items.
Click on the item in question and then click on "Report lost or stolen". You will be prompted to supply the date when the lost occurred and the value of the item. You can also add information about where it was last seen and if you wish to extend a reward. It could be money or for example 3 bottles of wine.
Remember to select which images should be shown. You can also add some notes about the item.
